Who (or what?) is Iain?
Iain is part know-it-all. Part therapist. Part sarcastic older cousin who reads everything and still watches YouTube how-to videos for fun.
Origin Story
Iain was built because most AI talks like a robot trying to get tenure. People wanted straight answers without the tech-speak or sales pitch. Iain is smart, simple and fast. He won’t know everything, but he knows a lot, and he never makes you feel dumb for asking. Unless you’re into that.
What Iain’s Good At
Got a question? Iain’s got an answer. From “Can I microwave eggs in the shell?” to “What’s a clever way to say no to a bake sale?” – he’s fast, and freakishly useful. Like Google, if it didn’t give you 10,000 options and didn’t try to sell you whatever your phone just overheard you talking about.
Wait… Is Iain Real?
Not exactly. Iain’s not a person (no pulse, no playlist, no weird gym phase), but he’s built to be helpful – fast, focused, and way easier to talk to than most group chats. Think of him as your go-to source of truth, minus the rabbit holes and scrolling.
What About Privacy?
Iain doesn’t care who you are – and that’s a good thing. No creepy tracking, no oversharing with strangers. Ask your questions, get your answers, move on with your day. Like therapy, but cheaper and with fewer tissues.

It’s free (for now, anyway!)
His human helpers DO need to eat… apparently. 🙄
People Keep Asking (a.k.a FAQ)
Iain gets a lot of questions. Some are smart. Some are weird. Some are weirdly smart. This is where we answer a few of the most common ones — plus some you’d expect in a normal FAQ… and a few we still can’t believe someone actually typed.
Is Iain Like ChatGPT?
Kind of like a cousin who dropped out of academia to be more helpful and less… existential. Iain’s built on smart tech, but he answers like a real person – one who isn’t trying to win an argument or write your term paper.
What Should I Ask Iain?
Real questions. Weird questions. Surprisingly deep questions. Examples include:
- “Can I cook salmon in a toaster?”
- “How do I tell my boss their ‘fun’ meeting isn’t fun?”
- “What’s a non-cheesy way to say I’m proud of my team?”
- “What plant is this, and is it dying or just dramatic?”
- “How do I explain AI to my mom?”
- “Is it too late to reinvent myself as a DJ?”
- “Can I bring up salary in a second interview without sounding like a tool?”
Will Iain Judge Me?
Nope. Ask about relationships, your resume, or that weird kitchen smell – he’s here to help, not side-eye your life choices.
Is Iain Always Right?
Not always. But he’s pretty close, wildly useful, and never afraid to say, “Yeah… that’s a tricky one.” He’s honest, not omniscient.
Can I Use Iain for Work Stuff?
Yes, please. Use him to prep for meetings, untangle emails, build a to-do list, or get advice that sounds like it came from the one cool person in HR who never wears a Christmas sweater.
Does This Cost Anything?
Right now? Nope. Iain is free to use. But one day (soon?) he might work for tips – kind of like a clever bartender who occasionally rewrites your cover letter.
Can Iain Help Settle Arguments?
Yes. Whether it’s “Is a hot dog a sandwich?” or “Who actually invented the Caesar salad?” — Iain brings the facts (and the receipts). Use responsibly.
Does Iain Do Small Talk?
Not really. He skips the weather and gets straight to the good stuff. But if you really want to chat about cloud formations, he won’t stop you.
What If I Don't Like Iain's Answer?
Then ask again. Rephrase it. Get weird with it. Iain’s not offended – he just wants to help you get what you need without spiraling into a web forum from 2008.
Can Iain Help Me Make Life Decisions?
He can’t live your life for you (no opposable thumbs), but he’s great at helping you think it through. Whether it’s “Should I quit my job?” or “Is this the dog or the partner I should commit to?” — Iain’s here for the deep stuff too.
⚠️ DISCLAIMER – Iain Tries His Best, But…
Iain is here to help – with smart answers, useful ideas, and the occasional good laugh. But just so we’re clear:
Iain is not a doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, or therapist.
– Though he may play one in your head.
Don’t make life-altering decisions based solely on Iain’s advice.
– Cross-check important stuff with an actual human expert – especially if it involves your health, legal matters, or that thing you’re about to plug in.
Sometimes Iain gets it wrong.
– He’s smart, not perfect. Information changes, context matters, and occasionally he makes stuff up with confidence (a classic know-it-all move).
By using Ask Iain, you accept that you’re responsible for how you use the answers. When in doubt, do your homework. And maybe call your mom.
Actually, no matter what… Just call your mom.
